... global energy prices have dropped because of demand destruction in China due to widespread COVID outbreaks.

Prices will rise in the USA because of the recent Keystone XL pipeline break in Kansas which is expected to take weeks to repair.

Overall, oil prices are expected to rise over the coming weeks as the world heads into the winter heating months and diesel prices continue to remain high with high demand.

While the USA is an important player in the global energy market, it does not set oil prices nor does US consumer demand.
