Why are you so bothered by the FACT that inflation is a worldwide problem? Almost every country has elevated inflation.Comment

Re: $5.00 per gallon gas
Did you read the article that I posted about inflation in the USA driving down the value of the Canadian dollar? You need to learn how to learn, grasshopper.
The first thing you need to learn is that your healthcare system is in crisis. Do you acknowledge that? Yes or no?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

As we already know, the corrupt Republicans in Mississippi don't actually use that money to help poor people. They give it to Brett Favre.Comment

So, let me get this straight. Inflation in the US is driving down the Canadian dollar and that is causing 80% inflation in Turkey. Got it. That's good to know Billy.
Is it also causing 78% inflation in Argentina and 14% inflation in Russia and 12% inflation in the Netherlands and 10% inflation in Spain and the UK?
Wowsers.Comment

You really need to learn how to learn. For starters, democrats lied about inflation for over a year trying to convince us that it was temporary. And you, yourself, had a very flippant attitude on inflation.
The last person that I'd turn to for insight on inflation would be who? You guessed it .... you!!!!Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

So, no answer? Just deflection? Typical rightie behaviour.

Re: $5.00 per gallon gas
What Republicans and other Conservatives have with wind farm and solar farm as well is that they are not the answer. Currently here in California wind provides only 27% of the power produced at most, and that is with all of them operating at peak output. Non Behind the Meter, BTM, solar has started to level off at 35% due to lack of additional acreage that can be used for solar farms. BTM is now at 15% and still rising but will level off soon as most people cannot afford to have it installed and properly maintained.
The real answer is in nuclear but again that is somethings that liberals are opposed to as well. Many were quite upset when California Governor Newsom announced that he was extending the licenses for reactors at Diablo Canyon for an additional 5 years. The licenses were scheduled to expire on November 2, 2024 for unit 1 and August 26, 2025 for Unit 2. Diablo Canyon is the last operating nuclear power plant in California.
Percentages are from 2019.Comment

Re: $5.00 per gallon gas
The White House said Thursday it was targeting 15 gigawatts of floating offshore wind capacity by the year 2035, as it looks to compete with Europe and Asia in the nascent sector.
"The Biden-Harris Administration is launching coordinated actions to develop new floating offshore wind platforms, an emerging clean energy technology that will help the United States lead on offshore wind," a statement, which was also published by U.S. Department of the Interior, said.
The announcement said the 15 GW goal would provide sufficient clean energy to power more than 5 million homes. It builds on the administration's aim of hitting 30 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030, an existing ambition which will mostly be met by fixed-bottom installations.
Alongside the 15 GW ambition, a "Floating Offshore Wind Shot" would "aim to reduce the costs of floating technologies by more than 70% by 2035, to $45 per megawatt-hour," the statement added.
"Bringing floating offshore wind technology to scale will unlock new opportunities for offshore wind power off the coasts of California and Oregon, in the Gulf of Maine, and beyond," it said.Comment
