California's liberal Democrat governor Gavin Newsom has even started blaming independent refiners saying they are cutting back production to preform need maintenance. This one week after he instructed them to make the switch over from the summer blend now instead of November which is when California law specifies. He is getting desperate. If he loses reelection in November all his positioning to run for President in 2024 go out the window. all the while the price at the pump continues to climb as production fields are shutting down because of executive orders he has issued. Even if he were to rescind those executive orders, it would take 3 to 6 months for those fileds to get back into full production. Even then many of the wells will never be back in production because to comply with the orders they have already been pulled, back flowed with concrete and capped.
