At this point, who can blame them?

Foreign nations would be foolish to trust any negotiations with Trump. He's a habitual liar and will agree to something, only to later backtrack with new demands. Any "trade deal" that he signs isn't worth the paper that it's printed on because he could decide a few months later to slap more tariffs in place to rile up his base. He's not interested in economic prosperity or material reality, he cares only for political theater.
