Does not work. Addicts don't want the government supplied drugs as they cannot get the high they want. Opioids should never be made easily available to the general public. They are highly addictive when used improperly. What can be safe and without addiction by an individual with a chronic pain condition can become addictive in as few as one dose for someone without that condition. As long as illegal drugs can follow into a country, the gangs and cartels will continue to push them to our teenagers both on the streets and on schools campuses.

Even mild tranquilizers when abused can become addictive.

Just because you don't believe something won't be 100% effective, doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt it.

Nobody is stopping you from using those chemicals. In fact, nobody cares if you use those chemicals. Knock yourself out.

It's really only as complicated as you choose to make it. Legalize the drugs. Have the government provide safer drugs to people. Doing this also allows for a chance at counseling and getting people into programs.

To de stigmatize this substance in anyway will be a big mistake. There is substances like methadone and suboxone that works as a replacement that can be tapered down over time. No-one wants a methadone clinic on the corner of there block... The programs are a joke. Its profit driven and does not work. You need to institutionalize someone for at lease 12 months and involves conservatorship. I some cases 24 months is not enough.

Copier addict is either totally unaware or chooses to ignore the fact that removing the stigma and allowing possession of small amounts of class A drugs has failed within his own country.
