What !!! . Ganga is one of the most addictive substance out there. True, it is not harmful in moderate use, but very few can control its usage when they start to use it. I smoked that thing for a long time, and like cigarettes, the cravings get to you when the brain says " I need it '.
I am free from it from it now, but in my youth, it was a bad habit.

It's definitely NOT "one of the most addictive substances out there". I'm not saying one can't become addicted but, it's not nearly as addictive as alcohol or cigarettes

Here is the thing with weed. Alcohol has a fix percentage of the the substance in it that you get intoxicated with, forgot the terminology for it, say a particular brand would be 5%. So you know how much drinks would get you high and it can be almost precise all the time. Weed, comes in different types and the same one you smoked last week can be different this week. It's chasing that nice high that becomes the addiction, and the thought of getting it is where the cravings come from.
Also the environment you are in also contributes to it.
The thing with it though, you can stop it without withdrawal problems., but once you know you can get it , you will , thats' the fact, plus it use to be relatively cheap, but as with time the potency level for the user gets less , but still he wants it because he LIKES it. Weed gives you an euphoria like few drugs does, and it is the feeling that you want to have if you can all the time, for most users who can afford it.

You just made a very good argument for legalizing and distribution. That way one always knows what's in it. With any drugs from the street there is no way of knowing the ingredients.

You said it. In Canada it is now legal . Trudeau did the deal. I disagree with drug use, as it only leads to a wasteful life. It also comes with the hazards of hurting others, i.e family members, the public ect. as it get out of control. Enough said.

There are people who have live to tell the horrors of addiction as we know. It always has a starting point and grows into loss dignity, pain and the rest. We have to support the people who help these people as they are a somebody. This story is how it starts, as to the opening statement and the help she got . 30 Yrs, working and using. There are tons of people who use and we walk pass them everyday and does not know.
I have to thank God, who saved me from going down that path. Did not use heavy stuff, but little by little from a weekend bar drinker, to weekdays. A spiritual episode changed my life and I saw the truth of the bible. I am now a born again Christian, and don't care what anyone says, that the bible is the word of God and that Jesus Christ is Lord. 20 yrs now and not a jot of any substance into the temple.
