No, what is really a waste of time is trying to discuss things with someone who just throws around talking points given to them by others. Learn to form your own opinions and then you will begin to see things differently.

It really isn't so difficult to see how badly the USA is doing if you look with your own eyes and wallet. Maybe the beneficiaries of government assistance can't see reality. Nowadays, anyone not crazy left is a righty. Actually, I'm more center,...just not far left wackado.

I don't understand how someone can see doom and gloom when all around them things are pretty good. Unemployment is at the lowest in decades, inflation is dropping steadily, GDP is increasing, deficit is dropping. Are things perfect? Of course not. Things are never perfect. The "good old days" is a myth. There's always something that could be improved but, overall things are pretty good.

Intelligent people neither give credit no give blame for the ups and downs of free market issues. If you really want to place blame for high prices of goods and gasoline, place it where it belongs. The companies that are increasing those prices. The same companies that politicians run cover for.
