Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves (R) said on Friday that it was, as always, "a great day to not be in Jackson," the capital city that had been facing a water crisis after flooding in the Pearl River damaged its water system.

Jackson water crisis spurs calls to bring the federal hammer down on Mississippi

Re: Corrupt Mississippi Governor
Allow me to tell you guys about my little trip to Jackson Mississippi. Lets start from the beginning.
My mom is 80 years and in good health. Somehow, I ended up buying her a car. I had to drive to Mobile, Alabama to buy the car. I drove it back to my home in Long Beach, Ms.
I then had to drive the car to Monroe, Louisiana where my Mom lives. Only problem was...how am I gonna get back home? A plane ticket was too expensive on short notice. My brother and sister live in Monroe but neither could make the long trip to my home. So, I called greyhound and the only option was to get dropped off at the bus station in Jackson, Ms@ 5:00 in the a.m.
The bus station is in the heart of downtown Jackson. As we pulled up, there were benches everywhere and a homeless person sleeping on every last one. There was a crackhead going this and that way. Bums started coming up to our car asking for money. They were harrassing my sister. Finally, I tell her that I'm gonna get out of the car and for her to head back home. And that's what I did.
I used to go to Jackson when I was young. We'd go to concerts and go barhopping. It was really nice. Now it's shithole. Downtown has been abandonded. It's dangerous. I didn't feel safe.
The bus ride was nice, tho. No stops and there were only about 5 of us on the bus.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Corrupt Mississippi Governor
In all seriousness, it's sad to see what liberal policies have done to this city. I really haven't been to Jackson in many years...other than passing thru on interstate 10. This morning was a real shock to the system. I've read about it but I really wasn't prepared for what I witnessed.
Liberal policies hurt blacks more than anyone. Most of the white people got the hell of of dodge. And now it's black murdering blacks at an alarming rate.
And all democrats can do is cry racism. Its very very sad.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

By the way, democrats could care less about blacks being murdered by other blacks. They ignore it. So does the media.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
