Majority of Canadians have now caught COVID

Researchers in British Columbia analyzed close to 14,000 blood samples in the Lower Mainland throughout the pandemic to track antibody levels in the general population, and found a massive shift in the number of infections in the past few months.
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (BCCDC) and University of British Columbia team previously found almost half previously had COVID as of April, but their new data suggests that number continued to skyrocket into the spring and summer.

So much for masks being effective. Case closed.

The main benefit of the masks and other measures is so that the health services don't get overwhelmed by too many patients at once. There are only so many beds and respiratory apparatus to help people who have it worse.

I like copier addict. He seems like a good dude. He even seems smart. That's why it's so confusing when over 75% of Canadians have contracted 'rona and he says the mask mandate was a success. I'd hate to see what failure looks like.

If you had actually read the "cut and paste" article you had posted you would have seen the key phrase "in the past few months" and then realised that there has not been mask mandates for much longer than that. Except in the aforementioned medical locations. I'm guessing you wouldn't have even posted that article if you had seen that.

Where this study was done the mandate ended near the beginning of March. So, yes, March is before April. At least on my calendar. A lot can happen in a month.

The fact that the flu basically disappeared for almost two years while people were wearing masks kinda proves that they work. Case closed
