    Interesting 2fa hacking being done

I had opportunity to watch a short video on 2fa hacking that bad guys are using for social engineering on people.

I will pick on Amazon as it could be any site with 2fa (two factor authentication) being used.

The bad guy sends a text to your cell saying here is a 2fa code to verify your amazon sign in
5 minutes later another text with different 2fa code
    5 minutes later repeat
    5 minutes later repeat
    5 minutes later repeat
Then the final text comes from "Amazon" (bad guy) saying you have had 5 two factor authentications fail at Amazon, have you shared your username/password with anyone? If not please change your username/password here to prevent unauthorized use of your account. Text will have a link to bad guys Amazon spoof site.

The bad guys are really clever. I'm impressed.
    I've proved mathematics wrong. 1 + 1 doesn't always equal 2.........

Not that clever. phishers have been sending emails saying there is a problem with your credit card account that look just like the credit card company's alert emails that links to their spoofed site for as long as I have had credit cards with websites.

About six months ago there was a scam going around that due to covid your untitled to 50% off your mobile bill.

It was a very bad line, I could just about make out what they were saying.

I had previously been sent some 2fa codes from my network provider because this person was trying to login but needed that code for the final step.

I told him the whole phone bill reduction sounded too stupid to take seriously and hung up.

Furthermore, I got home and changed the password.
