Please explain why, when no legal voters right are being infringed, we need a new law. The fewer laws the better as you are less likely to accidently run afoul of one that you didn't even know existed.

Unfortunately Republican control states restricted voting and limited drop boxes , early voting ,number of voting machines as you have already seen long lines and waiting times at polling places all to discourage voting.

My opinion on voting is that is should be done on election day, in person (exceptions for military and those with a medical reason (not I don't feel like going) certified by a doctor), paper ballots, and (I can't believe I have to say this) follow the Iraqi method of dipping a finger in indelible ink to prevent multiple voting. Make the day a national holiday so no one has the excuse of having to work, even though employers are required to give employees time to get to the polls if they're scheduled to work during all voting hours now. I don't expect you to agree or even understand any of the reasons why, but it would prevent much of the mess and suspicion of fraud that we see now (watch some of the videos of what happens at polling places and drop boxes with an open mind if you can).
