The quality of the product that Anheuser-Busch puts out went straight down the sewer after Belgian-Brazilian brewing company InBev purchased it in 2008. They have been losing sales ever since and thought that going after a different client base might help increase sales. It might have if they hadn't insulted their existing base in the process. Oh by the way, that base wasn't right wing. It was full spectrum politically. Read what their current CEO had to say on her Twitter account.

I have always thought Budweiser products tasted terrible but I made that observation by actually drinking it. I wasn't told to stop drinking it by some homophobic politicians or information providers.
