    Marijuana myths and lies

I think all drugs should be legal. However, I'm very anti-drug. I don't think folks should do any drugs. But I digress.

Over the years I've heard so many myths and lies about pot. Here's another one that is exposed.

Pain relief from marijuana comes from a belief it helps, study finds

A drug is basically defined as a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body. With that being said, do you consider caffeine as a drug? After all, it does have a phycological effect on the body and is considered a drug. How about alcohol, beer wine, whiskey, etc.? If you consume any of the above substances you are technically consuming drugs.
And, let's not forget about what most American adults seem to be taking on a daily basis pharmaceutical psychotropics such as Paxil for example, it was taken for depression, panic disorders, etc.. Well, Paxil was taken off the market because of all the side effects and its addictive nature. We all know how the pharmaceutical companies have made pills addictive and once they are taken off the market people will seek other alternatives such as cheap meth etc.

What is the biggest drug epidemic in America and where did it start? With some doctor prescribing an additive opioid.

Marijuana can be broken down into two compounds CBD and THC and both have scientific proven health benefits. So if you want the health benefits of marijuana without the effects of THC, you would take a CBD product with scientifically proven effects.

As I said, I'm against all drugs for recreation. That's just me. At one time or another I've done most drugs. Not any of the crazy one like heroine or angel dust.

Oh, and I'm against alcohol, too. And I used to own a night club. That broke me from drinking.

PS - I'll add this. Some people are able to handle alcohol. And I don't believe pot is necessarily a bad drug. There's just been a lot of lies told about it's benefit and some poeple act as if they worship the stuff.

There are actually multiple types of THC each with its own advantages and disadvantages. What are the Types of THC & Their Differences? – Five CBD

IMHO more research needs to be done into the beneficial effects of each and the best way to administer in order to optimize to benefits and minimize any possible side affects. Things such as inhalers, sub-dermal implants and trans-dermal patches.

Another area that needs research is the affect on second hand and third hand exposure. By third hand exposure I mean the exposure that a fetus in the womb gets when a pregnant woman is exposed gets second hand exposure. I have noticed that the rise of autism at the end of the 20th century somewhat paralleled the rise of medicinal marijuana.

One more thought. I have known people who have gained benefit What they all have said is that they only needed one plant to supply them with their needed marijuana and when that plant was near the end of its useful life, a seedling to replace it. Those with basements full of plants are growing to sell, not for their own personal use.

Drugs from nature are useful but does have a high abuse potential. I get "high" on psilocybin to break free from addictions to give insight to our existential crisis. I am addicted to many things but not to this drug its a useful aid into understanding myself the world and others. I had a busy couple of weeks moving what I call home. Took 2 grams of the stuff to stress myself and to relax. Dichotomous in nature is not just fun its a slap in the face looking at your own behavior. If you are half the asshole I am capable of being it grounds me back into reality to repent from my foolish nature. Powerful and free medicine. I do not run around and recommend my ways to others. As for weed I can not find much of any good use for this also very powerful drug. Before any thing else look for the kingdom of El above and master of all the Elohim.

Listening to Tool and chilling out.

I am a well traveled psychonaut. If you do not ground yourself to the higher Truth you are fair game to the evil of this world and nothing worse then a 6 foot mad monkey.

I have used both THC and CBD with great results. The THC I use to help me sleep, and the CBD I use as a mild anti-inflammatory.
I don't use the THC to get high, but I am not against its recreational use

It's interesting how perceptions about marijuana can vary. While you're anti-drug, it's important to have open discussions about it. Your post highlights the power of the placebo effect in pain relief, which is indeed a fascinating aspect.
