Recently the Republicans have had issues with House speakers . They have been ineffective and just keep giving into democratic policies . I had hope for Mccarthy but the weakness started showing . Imagine that just 8 Republicans just took him down and not 1 Democrat stood up for him . Bipartisan worked well for him

Is it possible for Democratic Minority Speaker Hakeem Jeffries to become Speaker of the House?

The Democrats will certainly vote in unison to support him.

If the Republicans cannot get 218 votes to support whoever they choose, does not Mr. Jeffries take that position with a simple majority voting for him?

Could some unhappy Republican congressmen simply vote present and not vote for either parties candidate? Which is effectively voting for the Democrats.

I don't know much about Jeffries. But I do know that Biden has a history of promoting on the basis of race and gender with little regard for qualificaton. Example: Kamala Harrris. Half the time nobody can understand what she's saying.


It reminds me of the first female kicker in college football.
