As the U.S. Department of State continues to closely monitor the security situation in the Middle East, I wanted to provide you with some helpful resources.
The State Department has a 24/7 coordinating group communicating with U.S. citizens in Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon to provide them assistance. Americans can enroll in this program with the U.S. Embassy in Israel by filling outthis formor calling (833) 890-9595 or (606) 641-0131. In the event that travelers in these areas do not have access to internet or phones, relatives in the U.S. or elsewhere may enroll family members in the program.
For the latest security and other updates regarding the situation in Israel, you can monitor and review alerts, bulletins, and notices from the U.S. Embassy in Israel here. The State Department is also posting additional updates and travel advisories for Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanonhere.
In addition, U.S. citizens traveling in Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, or Lebanon should enroll in the State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)here. This program helps ensure that U.S. Embassy officials can contact travelers during emergencies and civil unrest, as well as assist them with contacting family.
Finally, you can contact my Bakersfield District Office or my Clovis District Office if you or a family member needs assistance.
