Aren't all salesmen liars that will tell a customer the machine will tapdance while it collates just so they can sell it. Yes our Salesmen will do that and we end up being the one telling them Nooooo this model doesn't do that. Your salesman must have been misinformed.

I agree to what Vulkor said. I'm the networking guy in my Sharp/Konica/Brother company with just a bit side-knowledge about actually fixing the machines (I usually work with an experienced tech as a team) and I can not count how many times our sales folks told our customers the machine in question can do this, can do that, can fry eggs via focused WLAN-radiation etc... whilst it CANT.
So I end up being at the customers place, routinely putting everything in order so the machine can do what it was intended to do, and when Im done the customer comes and asks me how this egg frying device works? Why is it so hard for the sales guys to ask me first? To read up on things? And of course, when things turn sour they try to make it my fault for not informing them ><
Sales guys just care for the customers signature on their contracts. Everything else is lost on them.
Anyway, I am not a tech per se, as stated, but I do have experienced techs around me and I usually try to help out with the knowledge I have about connectivity, since this is what I am really good atSince the creation of the internet, the rotation of Earth has been powered by English teachers spinning in their graves.Comment
