    gas price blues

Hello everyone with the price of gas just about 3 dollars a gallon here in New Jersey what are your companies doing to better compensate the tech who is using his own car and putting out his own money for gas we are paying 41 cents a mile and from my own experience it is costing me money to go to work.

      Mileage Compensation

We got bumped up to 40/mile last summer when the gas price ramped up. I thought that was pretty good since we were at .30 before that.

I'm satisfied with it. Maybe I need to sharpen my pencil and have another look at it.

our company phased out the last tech. owned car a little over a year ago.. got a company car and get reimbursed for gas bought every two weeks.. drive it home every night, so it's not too bad now.

we also got bumped up to 44.5 cents a mile. looks like i am going to look for a small car with good milage soon.

what's funny is in our company some tech's have company gas cards which they can also use for oil changes and some of us like me get .41 per mile something is wrong with this system.
