This is for the konicaminolta techs out there.
I am interested to know how widespread KMIT is in the copier world outside Australia.
Is it offered? Is it expected? Do you think it's any good?
My experience with it was that if you could search a PDF and had a bit of general knowledge you could advance quite quickly without much effort.
On another note - how much training is recieved as a general rule. Are techs sent for training? (My last service manager gave us all a four year break from formal training). With my new manager I've now done 3 courses in 10 months.
Here machine courses are fairly comprehensive at Konica, and backed up by about (I think) 10 guys. Unless it's upgrade training or very basic machines, courses are five days or more (10 for C6500, 8 for 1050), unlike our Kyocera training which for equivalent machines (KM 5050 and larger for eg) are two day courses, all run by 1 bloke, there is one other guy for connectivity.
Hope this makes sense and would like to hear about others experiences.
