Is there something I'm missing here...
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I think this should be played to all kids in school, over and over again. They do not get it, the future is not for the high school drop out. There is a part of American politics today that seems to demonize people with education, as being elitist. Their grandchildren will be making cheep shoes for Chinese and India millionaires.

This problem is happening here in Canada too, though I have to say, it is a double edged sword.

The paradox of learning, is the more education one gets, the stupider they become. I witness this every time I service a machine in a lawyer's office. It's getting so bad I am thinking of talking the company into charging for stupidity calls.

I have to agree with you, I see it too, and thought it was only in Texas.
Now I got one for ya'll, walked into a school's teachers lounge/work room, and they were fixing to have a baby shower for 3 of the teachers there, I asked when was the shower, was told any time now, I said, not a good time to be working on the copier, would have been a full PM, did the fuser unit the day before, while they were decorating for it, after I said I would come back Monday, someone called the boss and complained that I did not stay durring a baby shower and work on the machine, mach was not down, just needing a PM, it's a MXM 700 and it had 600 K on the PM counter, original call was for H3 code, thats when I found the need for a PM, rebuilt the fuser while they were decorating for the shower the day before.
