    In Honor of Stupid People . . . .

    In Honor of Stupid People . . . .

In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.

On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping.
(That's the only time I have to work on my hair.)

On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
    (the shoplifter special?)

On a bar of Dial soap -- "Directions: Use like regular soap."
    (and that would be???....)

On some Swanson frozen dinners -- "Serving suggestion: Defrost."
    (but, it's just a suggestion.)

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- "Do not turn upside down."
    (well...duh, a bit late, huh!)

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -- "Product will be hot after heating."
    (...and you thought????...)

On packaging for a Rowenta iron -- "Do not iron clothes on body."
(but wouldn't this save me time?)

On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication."
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5 year-olds with head-colds off those bulldozers.)

On Nytol Sleep Aid -- "Warning: May cause drowsiness."
    (...I'm taking this because???....)

On most brands of Christmas lights -- "For indoor or outdoor use only." (as opposed to what?)

On a Japanese food processor -- "Not to be used for the other use."
(now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)

On Sainsbury's peanuts -- "Warning: contains nuts." (talk about a news flash)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: say what?)

On a child's Superman costume -- "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly."
(I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)

On a Swedish chainsaw -- "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals."
(Oh my God..was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)

I forget who said it but the quote is something like this
"Those that do not learn from the past are bound to repeat it!"
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

i had the same thing happen to me.

one that may be better was an FSU college professor try to make his own transparency. he cut out an 8.5 x 11 piece of visqueen(plastic) and ran it thru a 3135. the fuser was trashed.

2 fridays ago at 4:00 in the afternoon a customer calls me up saying they are have problems scanning and printing on thier bizhub 350. so i go out and reset everything with no luck. i'm trying anything and everthing on why this copier not scanning/printing. next is to look at their computer. then she comes around and says," the server been down all day, would that have anything to do with it?"

How about the one that the copier won't work and when you get there the power has been out for over an hour (the call was place 30 minutes ago) and the UPS that unit is plugged into is a little 15 minute computer unit.

About 15 years ago we had a lady call in to say her fax would
recieve but she couldn't get it to send.
The tech went out and faxed something to our office and we
recieved it fine. when he had her fax something he watched
and she ran the original through the df and picked it up after it was scanned and said "see it's still here!"

Whe once had a customer who called in to say the machines reduction does not work , we went there and showed her how it works she then replied , but it does not cut the paper to an A5 size.

Back in the day I had a call on a Ricoh 4060 for blank copies at a university. Turned out that the temp secretary saw the add toner light on. She added what she thought was toner to the toner hopper, it was silicon oil, directly in the toner hopper..... that = new machine!!
