    Brush with stardom

I just realized this is one that hasn't been done.

Have you ever been on a call and run across an individual who was famous or notable for some reason or other?

For example a few years ago I ran into Garth Brooks doing a call at a church his kids were attending vacation bible school at.

When I was in my 20's I ran into MC Hammer at the airport. People swarmed all over him when they recognized who he was. He was trying to stay in disguise. I just left the poor man alone.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

I sat beside Nick Faldo (pro Golfer) on a flight between Kuala Lumpur & Vienna in 2003. I got some great tips.
Also live up the road from Andrew Gaze (ex NBA/NBL player).

I did a service call a couple of years ago in a person's home on the Gold Coast. The owner was an elderly woman. All over the walls were these gold records and music photos etc. I had no idea who this woman was until a saw a family photo. She is Michael Hutchence's mother.

Never ran across anyone famous during work, but there was this one salesman I used to work with that looked like Ron Jeremy from the waist up.

Well, he was a really good salesman, so yeah, I would assume he isn't packing very much.

I used to take care of a small airport in north Jersey and one day I walked in and the lady in the office said "you just missed Harrison Ford" and another time I was coming back from St. Maarten and saw Rick Ocasic from The Cars

I think that's a pretty safe assumption to make.

I was working on a color box in Special Ops headquarters and looked up and saw Donald Rumsfield walk by. I was not that thrilled.

Back in the 80's, Ozzy played here a lot. A friend of mine used to work at the coliseum part time setting up equipment. He was at the concession stand and Ozzy was there having a problem communicating with the older black ladies that were working there. They also were having trouble understanding Ozzy. Mike got to act as translator between the two.

Another one was a business we have where they are like an air terminal for Gulftreams.

Went in and they said"Hey you just missed Jeff Foxworthy."
