I live in a very built up area in a terraced house, that wouldn't work. One day, when I can afford to live in the countryside.....but that's not gonna happen if I keep getting divorced LOL

If you live in a terraced house I see no reason why you shouldn't do it - you just need a wall outside, and if you have a terrace, should work fine. Also, if you like gardening (potted or otherwise), bat dropings are a great fertilizer.

Nope, sorry Debs but gone off you again, its now the bat thing.

Brisbane is suffering from a plague of fruit bats at the moment, their numbers have exploded over the last few years. We have a colony about 3km from our house and I'm always going around cutting the seed pods off the palm trees in our yard, if I dont you end up with the trees full of bats shreiking and fighting all night long. As if the noise wasn't bad enough they crap everywhere, you have to get the washing in by dusk and its a bugger of a stuff to get off the car before it eats into the paint work. Mrs L is now complaining that they are now raiding her veggie patch and eating the tomatoes.

The avatar pic is of me, taken last month on my birthday.
He liked snakes too, not so keen on spiders, strange man, they're my favourite animal.
I'd love to live in a house with bats, that would be so cool :-)
