    A union? every small-med biz in the country will close shop. Besides, a monkey can change parts in a copier and a 3rd grader can install a print driver. Not much bargaining power.

      I'm sorry you've been cursed with the company of such lousy technicians.

      I will grant you that 80% of the time you are correct, but that leaves a bunch of calls where you actually have to troubleshoot something, and you don't want a 3rd grade monkey doing that if you plan on retaining customers.

      Besides, its not the small copier companies that are the problem - they know they have to take care of their customers - its the big ones that think they can run roughshod over everyone.

        What's the point of anonymous online message boards if you can't tweak a few noses.

        I know techs are good, but unions are going the way of the dinosaur....I guess in the end, the title of this thread ain't too far off.

          Maybe...

          Maybe they're just becoming what the should have been to begin with. Temporary.

          And I've tweaked more than a few noses.
