    Flash Drive Software Bundle

I read an article, Carry a flash drive instead of a laptop - WindowsSecrets.com , not long ago that laid the ground work for this little venture. So! I got my "free" Kingston 1GB Datatraveler flash drive and was wondering...

I know some of you have flash drives and was wondering what software you carry around on it. I have a laptop, so I don't need any type of office suite or anything like that. I know I am going to carry a few things relating directly to the Savin products I work on like; Smart Device Monitor for Admin (for installation on site), Xref, latest Gooses Guide, all four white papers available on the set-up of scan features, Wire Shark (waaaay too handy not have around!!), Site Survey... For now, I guess that's about it except a small virus program that's around 2 megs.

From the article link above, I got this site The Portable Freeware Collection - Latest entries Looks like a lot of great stuff there!! What suggestions do you guys have??

The first law states that energy is conserved: The change in the internal energy is equal to the amount added by heating minus the amount lost by doing work on the environment.

First things first...... thanks for the link!

We end up sharing the one good laptop that we have in our service dept. There isn't enough room on it for everything we need/want. So, I have my flash drives.

    I keep on it....

latest F/W to update/change my SD cards

    manuals

    latest print drivers, sometimes

I've thought about putting some cheat sheets on it such as what ports to open in firewalls to allow ftp scan, special procedures that I've come across right here on copytechnet, and reminders for network t/sing, etc.

I also carry a spare/blank flash drive to update minolta f/w directly.

I have a couple of 2gb flash drives. I copy movies to them and walk them across the hall to the bedroom and watch them on my USB enabled DVD player. Sure saves on blank CD costs.
But seriously, when I do a service call, I put the service manual on it in case I need it onsite.
