    Perish the thought... LOL
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

It seems to me there should be a distinction between "Commute" time and "Travel" time. This has been such a gray area my 30+ years in the biz.
A good question. I used to work out there too and always wondered about the time zone difference. Go 45 minutes north or east of Evansville and you're in a different time zone. I had a territory split 65/35 between Eastern and Central Time. My question was always if I start in Eastern time, and I finish in Central Time, do I get extra pay for the hour I've donated through no fault of my own? After all, 4.00 Central was 5.00 my time.

I can't have been the only sap in a similar condition, and luckily I don't have to worry about it now but I think about all the lost pay for that time that should have been mine. Plus the fact that nothing is really that close out that way I could have raked in OT by the truckload.

In the past when I had a call first in the morning away out there I would generate a call in my local town (guess what they weren't there at 07:00) that allowed me to start my milage local at the end of the day I would return to that customer (and you guessed it they weren't there at 6:00pm). The company I worked for would not pay first call or last call because we had no local office (the branch office was 120 miles away and in oposite direction). This was the only way I could get paid for doing company travel.

The day that happens, I'll be looking for another career.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.
