I'm looking for a new Toolbox

Does anyone have a good source for new toolboxes, Nothing in the Ames or Katun catalogs thrill me. If anyone knows a place online with something other then the same old Platt case that falls apart after two years let me know.

I use a small canvas bag type "toolbox" I got it at Lowe's a few years ago. They are in with the tool belts and stuff like that. I dont cary many tools any more so there is plenty of room for the tools I use as well as the cleaners and rags that I need. I leave my hammer and drill in the car for most calls. you can pick them up for under $25.00 at Lowe's or Home Depot. They dont have the exact one that I have but it looks something like this:

Or you can have this one for $100+ from Katun if you want but they are heavy and the handle breaks off every 9 months:

I'm just kidding about the large hammer and drill, I have used them both at one time or another to fix copiers but that is only on special occassions. These days I use a phillips head screwdriver, a tweeker (to remove "C" clips) and some big needelnose pliers. Thankfully I no longer need to drag around a 25lb toolbox anymore.

I cut a tool holder from a traditional tool box down a little and I put that into a laptop bag and I can get everything I need into it. It works great.

I ended up with a similar tool bag from Home Depot, I like it so far but it takes some getting used to after all these years. Its not nearly as geeky as a standard hard case and It was only about 20 bucks. If it doesn't work out I can definitely use it around the house so I won't be out anything. I'll keep you posted.
