Anyone own an electric vehicle?
Or has anyone tried to use one for service calls?
With the surge in electric vehicles, there must be a growing market of buyers.
Is there really a savings to be had?
After trading dollars for gasoline to dollars for electricity what is the cost outcome?
Also, are there any hidden "cost of ownership" items that are different from a gasoline only vehicle?
And what made you decide to purchase an electric vehicle? Less dependance on foreign oil? Cost savings? Early technology adopter?
Do they have ratings for miles per Kilowatt hours?
There are a lot of Prius's around here. Usually going faster than the speed limit! Doesn't that seem contradictory to the savings they are trying to create?
And i've heard people say that electric energy is cleaner than using gasoline. Really? I've heard electric companies use many different resources to create electricity including coal and plutonium. If we are to exponentially increase our electrical usage because of electric vehicle demands aren't we trading one demon for the other?
How about Hydrogen? Anybody have updates on that potential energy source or comparisons between a Hydrogen/Electric vehicle?
