    [Annoying] That awkward moment when...

You go to a customer's site to address a warming up issue with the fuser, only to find that there's 5 pieces of paper jammed in there behind every single thermistor causing it not know the actual temperature it's running at. So you crack it apart, dig around there trying to pull it all out... 90 minutes later you find out it got hot enough to melt the heat lamps and it's now just an expensive paperweight...

    That was my morning.

Melted the lamps? Did the thermostat not open? What model? Ive fused uh&lh together on an M550, but lamp meltdown (Quartz), could catch stuff on fire. Regardless of the model. Input, need Input, Stephanie......

I'm surprised the whole bloody thing wasn't melted.

Does anyone know exactly what lamps are made out of? I'd imagine it would take a few thousand degrees to melt them.

Are they really made of quartz?

Lamps made out of quartz?? I just thought it was glass. ?? Anyway glass melts at about 700-800 deagrees? I'm guessing.

Good thing the building didn't burn down. Darn, what a mess.

when you walk in to a client's office and find out that the new person at the front desk is some one you dates a while back.
then the first question out her mouth, in front of others, is why didn't you ever call me back?
I waited for your call for weeks...........................................

after you have determined that you are now standing there in a very awkward position you state the obvious.
                I didn't think you noticed.........................................

What you do next will determine how the other people in the office view your character.

My statement to her was this.

I do not believe that this is the time or place for you to ask a question of that nature.
should you have such a desire for an answer to your question, please contact me outside of business hours and we can discuss this in an adult manor over a cup of coffee as you tend to have a severe problem with alcohol and I do not have a desire to observe that first hand again.

needless to say that the next time I went to that office she had been terminated later that day for inappropriate behavior.
what a relief that was............................................... .........

Your dealership lands a sweet contract with a new customer for a bunch of machines and services, and the first time you go there you find out that the IT guy is the same idiot you constantly butted heads with at an old account that you were so glad to see go away.

And not only does he work in IT, he's the freakin' director.

While on the phone with "The IT Guy", and you ask if he can ping the machine and he responds with "what is ping?".
I wish my phone had a slap button.

I like that slap app but I would probably be using it all day; I had that call today when IT said two of his machines wouldn't print, and the switch was ok. I asked how the ping test went.......I waited a few seconds, and he said "never-mind".

                        ok, the question of the day is;

How many IT guys are actually ID 10 T Guys?

I think we all wish there was a " Slap Button " on our phones.

                          There's a slap for that!

That awkward moment when... you get machine reassembled and realize you put bad part back in instead of the new part.
...you test hundreds of copies and the customer wants to try and it jams on the first one.
...you drive to wrong customer because you were on auto pilot and they don't know why you're there.
...you wear khaki pants and you weren't quite done taking a wizz when you zip up.
...you fart and try to fan it away before someone walks in (yes, as someone mentioned here before...the vacuum won't work...lol)

Awkward moment? No! Fate saved me. Bizhub 200 jamming from both trays. Had lots of stuff wrong, really kicking my ass. I change the main drive clutch and it still does not want to feed. I have changed all the others. I tell the girls in the doctors office I will send someone else and I leave. I drive all the way to base and pull into an empty parking lot and start going through my tickets and then SON OF A BITCH! I drive all the way back because I forgot to plug the damn thing in after I installed it. As luck would have it, they had all left for lunch, except for a doctor and nobody else knew.
