"Tolerance" is neither liberal nor conservative. It is an individual thing. Some people are simply more tolerant than others.

...but it's the definitions those people apply to justify their level of tolerance is where the debate is.

Liberals version of tolerance seems to be "You're welcome to hold any ABC views you want" (that's "Anything But Christian")
Conservative tolerance is more like "It's America, you're allowed to believe anything you want, but unfortunately you're also allowed to be an idiot"

Yeah, I'll give you my popcorn if you have "Scrubs In A Bucket" (those also work really well for nacho cheese snacks and toner and ink) or some napkins or something else I can use to wipe my hands off with (stupid tasty tasty buttery snacks, the cellphone looks like it was overrun by "The Blob").
Still, sounds like the issue here is if that specific person he's talking about is actually being tolerant.

Conservative tolerance is more like "It's America, you're allowed to believe anything you want but, unfortunately, you aren't allowed to marry whom you want, organize with coworkers for rights, protest the government, demand the law be applied equally to persons and corporations, have complete ownership of your body, et cetera ...

It's a funny world because the 'most tolerant' people, first are usually self acclaimed and secondly are the most intolerant people to intolerant people. This world is filled with discrimination, and discrimination against discrimination. And contradictions within the same philosophy. It is childish to be intolerant, and likewise to be tolerant....and that leave us with no way of life...

The Difference between Modern Liberalism and Conservatism:

Modern Liberalism is the belief that Government is owner and distributor of freedom and rights, while...

Conservatism is the belief that Government protects the rights and freedom man is born with.

These two ideals cannot co-exist; One must be defeated and subdued by the other.

The choice is simple: Being PROTECTED, or being OWNED

Just Curious (seriously), what did you do to get kicked off of Hubpage? They will let you blog on just about ANYTHING over there.

The liberals got tired of me on the forums.
You can Hub all day long and you will usually be alright but you have to behave....if you are a conservative...on the forums.
So now I just wait for the time I can create another account. Tried that immediately and wasn't clever enough and they figured out who i was and immediately banned that account too. Just living vicariously through others there right now.

Or a racist...whatever...they can do as they like mostly there but you have to be a good little fuzzy bunny if you are a conservative. The site is run out of San Francisco so you get what you get.
