    Craigslist is my crack

I love craigslist! Aside from video games (which I have to buy new because I'm OCD like that) and food I purchase just about everything from Craigslist. I find great deals all the time and if I have something laying around my house that I don't want, I can put an ad on Craigslist and someone will buy it eventually!

There's just something fun about the whole experience for me. The hunt for the particular thing I'm looking for, the anticipation while waiting for the response from the person I emailed to find out if the item is still available, the mystery of whether or not the item I'm about to go look at is as nice as it looks in the picture, driving with the windows down to have a look at the item, arriving at a nice house where you can tell the owners are pretty well-to-do and are selling they're good stuff cheap so they can go buy newer stuff (happens occasionally), haggling about the final purchase price, and the satisfaction of getting a getting a really great deal (not always the case, but a lot of the time).

Now, it doesn't always work out so well but most of the time for me it's a lot of fun. Anybody else enjoy Craigslist?
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

I once sold a car on craigslist in about two hours after posting it...
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

I like the rant a rave section on Craigslist. I get on there and rant about copytechnet rant and rave . No really I've sold some things. I'm going to go pick up some free bedding straw for my garden this weekend. I like the free section on craigslist.

I've bought folding chairs, a computer, and a shed window. Ive sold a dorm fridge, ceiling fans, 2 gas stoves, full size refrigerator, end tables, a porch swing, a recliner, a sofa, a love seat, and a printer. You will get a lot of sales calls if you post your phone number, meet people in a public place, bring someone with you (safety), evaluate person you are talking to on the phone (ask questions about the item and why they want to sell it), only make cash sales/purchases, and if something sounds fishy or doesnt look right, don't proceed. The old saying, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is..." applies.

After watching too many episodes of "Hording, Buried Alive", I cleaned out my garage and gave away about 6 carloads of crap by posting it in the free section.
