To be honest, I'm getting a bit board of the bimonthly bashing of Paul/just manuals...........oh who am I kidding, any more popcorn going? This will be fun as always...

Fixthecopierdude. I don't think the # of post has much meaning. Just because someone post in the rant and rave section does not mean they are helping. Got to look in the copier, printer repair section if you are helping. I would say 75 % of my post are in this rant and rave area. I'm not helping 1 little bit. I Try to help with what I know. HP and Kyocera. But come on. If the guy does not buy a manual from a vender he gets called a asshole. That's not cool. Now maybe there is something going on with them before Paul called Bill T. a asshole. We don't know. Paul and I have had bitching sessons back and forth but I still buy from him sometimes. Sometime Paul cuts his nose off to spite his face. I think he just lost a potential customer.

Damn, I went over to the help section to see if I can help with some equipment problems. In the Canon section for printers and fax some guy has 7 red cards for rep. I started reading the post. He gave away a manual. I think that's why he has the red cards .

This is the first time Paul and I had bad blood. Although it does bother me that his only response to almost every post is to buy one of his books. (on a side note Id like to see how he acquired them). This is my post for his actions, the rest of it is in the manual section.

I know what you are saying. I should have said green cards. However people who show up every day give the site a lot of traffic and that helps with rates, I would assume. I guess I was trying to point out that some come here just when they need a favor and others are here all the time, like friends.

The response from Paul was due to the disrespectful reply you gave to Tonerbomb (who isn't identified in your screenshot) for simply pointing you in his direction.
There are all kinds of people on here that are not aware of his service -despite the banner adds (which I never see on my Ad-blocked browser anyway).
You claim to be some 'holier than thou' technician that's never offered any useful or respectful advice to anyone.
Next time try, "Thanks , but no thanks". I bet you'll be called names far less often.

Bye-the-way...if you participated in the spirit of the forum, you'd know that Paul is more than willing to help out those that help others

And your right, maybe I should have followed it up with a "thanks, but no thanks" to tonerbomb. and my apologies to him for not doing so. If I could have fit the whole conversation in the screen shot I would have, but on my defense I did recommend visiting the manual section if anybody was curious to see the whole conversation. I also should have posted the IM message alfasud and I had for him to get me the manual I was searching for, very pleasant and professional. I have no desire to get into a pissing contest but I never inclined I was holier then thou' just the fact I have been turning screwdriver for a looooong time. As far as replying to posts you are right, I do not give my input like I should. I work on a lot of different kinds of equipment and usually forget half the crap I did a month ago. on that note, I am not going to respond to a post like, is the thermistor dirty, did you clean the optics, are the pick up roller turning, you get the idea. If the tech didn't already do that as far as I'm concerned he's not tech. If I find a question and I know for sure my answer will help I WILL give my input. I am getting longwinded and off subject. My point of the original post was for an advertiser to bash another person on this forum is, in my opinion, was very unprofessional and I thought I should call him out on it. Sorry for the rant and if you excuse me I need to make some more popcorn. Have a good weekend all!!

In the short time i've been a member here and reading his comments and how he treats people around here currently and in the past, I would pay twice the amount for a manual before buying from him.

Most of the older members get along fine with Paul and known he gives free manuals all the time.

If his money keeps the site up, then letting people swap free manuals here is like Burger King letting people set up grills in their parking lot and give away free food.

I went to work on a copier at a tow truck business. Parked behind a tow truck on a hill. About 10 minutes latter we here a crash. The tow truck drive forgot to set the brake. Slipped out of gear. You would think a TOW TRUCK DRIVER would set the brake. OH well. Like I said. shit happens. Everyone have a great weekend.
