    Wrong Part ?

What happens when you order the wrong part. One of my coworkers said she heard that our largest competitor charges their techs for ordering the wrong part. I don't know if it is true, and I am sure it would be illegal, but got me wondering. how do other companies deal with it. I usually find a way to make mine disappear.

    Re: Wrong Part ?

If it can be RA'd to where it originated, no problem.
If not, hang on to it and see if we can use it.
Barring that, send it back to main office and see if it's needed elsewhere in company.

Pretty simple procedure that works out well enough on its own.

Depends on how often this happens and how much it costs................
