    Insurance

Just need to vent a little, I just found out my employer is giving me a $3000 pay reduction to make up the difference for his liability insurance. In a way it's my fault, I got 3 tickets in less than 1 year. 2 speeding, one for following to close. The light turned green, the car in front of me started to go and when I did my bottle of water fell. I looked down to get it and when I looked up they had stopped, I dunno why. Scuffed bumpers is all. Everyone said I got the worst of it and after scrubbing my bumper nobody could ever tell it happened. But Of course this happened within eyesight of a cop so I got a ticket. They turned in a claim for $1500, which is to say they probably got an inflated estimate and just pocketed the money instead of fixing anything.
At any rate, my employer renewed his insurance and the price was $3000 more because of me. I did the online course to take 3 points off, which saved me $275, but can he do this? I offered to drive my own car but he said I'd have to get my own liability insurance to protect him, which they priced out at $5000. I am barely making ends meet now, I live from paycheck to paycheck. At the very least, This reduction will force me to move somewhere cheaper, assuming there is since I just moved to save $$$. I'm at the end of my rope.

    Re: Insurance

I feel f0r you, but you're quite screwed...I drive my own car for my company, but they require us to carry an unbelievable amount of liability, 100/300/100. My car is worth around 1000 on a good day, and I haven't had any tickets in over 25 years. My insurance company won't place the high liability limits on just my car, so we have to have it on all three (wife and 17 year old daughter with her 1st car). It's tough, I pay around 3 grand per year, and we are all "Safe" drivers. Don't move to central Florida, we have the worst rates in the country with are high % of retired drivers...Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

Check the labor laws in effect where you live. Of course, if he is in violation of labor laws and you file a complaint, you could be out of a job entirely. Maybe time to start looking for other employment.
