    It's Australia Day!

    Aussie Love Poem
Of course I love ya darlin'
You're a bloody top notch bird
And when I say yer gorgeous
    I mean every single word

So ya bum is on the big side
    I don't mind a bit of flab
It means that when I'm ready
    There's somethin' there to grab

So your belly isn't flat no more
    I tell ya, I don't care
So long as when I cuddle ya
I can get me arms 'round there

No sheila who is your age
    Has nice round perky breasts
    They just gave into gravity
But I know ya did ya best

I'm tellin' ya the truth now
    I never tell ya lies
    I think it's very sexy
That you've got dimples on ya thighs

I swear on me nanna's grave now
    The moment that we met
I thought you was as good
As I was ever gonna get

No matter wot ya look like
    I'll always love ya dear
Now shutup while the footys on
    And get me another beer

All those CTN ozzies must be downtown at the Australia day parade? Or they might be out the back cookin a couple of shrimps on the barby, while watchin the cricket.
I'm about to light the barby in an 1hr or so and will be crackin a coldie....

Don't forget the aeroguard, and have a good ozzie (not mozzie) weekend...

One of my computer guys gave me a season of a tv show that documents real life in Australia. It's called Housos. I watched it in honor of your special day. Made me feel good about America.

The housos TV show would make any Aussie proud to belong to another country. It's the bottom end, lowest form of humour. I'm sure it's "written an produced by foreigners" in Australia who find it amusing at representing the Aussie worker degraded lifestyle. It's a double, triple helping of mostly over dramatised yobbo/redneck crap. You'll find that most of the actors in the show have ethnic origins an are probably struggling to get their Australian citizenship which is given out to new Australians every Australia day weekend.

                Re: It's Australia Day!

I was being sarcastic. I actually couldn't bring myself to watch much of it. Canada has "Trailer Park Boys" and America has anything that is called "reality tv."
Got a season of "Bad Education" from the other side of the water. Haven't watched it yet.

If you don't think America can put out the crappiest television, then I suggest you check out "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and of course the "Jersey Shore"

And as if people in the south don't get enough of a bad rep, they are doing a southern version of Jersey Shore in South Carolina, a little over an hour away. It's called "Party Down South". The previews make me want to relocate.

Also, something called (I think) "Gypsy Sisters". I watched in horror and revulsion for about 15 seconds. How in the world can this crap even make it on-air for more than one episode? What are people thinking? Oh yeah, they're not - I give recent election results as proof.

                  Anyway, Happy Australia Day!

Heh we're not as brave as the Americans to fully let go of the mother country...royalty is soo yesterday

The 26th is when the first fleet arrived and settled in Australia. Though some now call it invasion day when Europeans came along and destroyed aboriginal Australia. That being said if Europeans didn't do it an Asian power would have.

I am on almost the opposite side of the Earth from Australia, and as such am unfamiliar with the local time there (maybe it is metric?). It's hard enough dealing with the four time zones here in the CONUS.
Still, wanted to wish you a happy Australia Day, or if I'm too late hope it went well for you.
