Let's see, I started working on Stenocord and Grey dictation machines and on Olivettti, Apeco, Saxin, SCM and Old Town copiers in march of 1972, so I have him beat there. On the other hand, I only turned 66 in December so he has me beat there. As to when I am going to retire, hard to say.

I hear ya Debs. I work all day making other people happy and then go home to an empty house and watch TV. lol
I do enjoy the work though.(most days) Those days where you just can't seem to fix anything kinda wear on you. Luckily they don't happen often.

I wish, I love Canada (been to Calgary twice), alas, it's only in the UK, but it is the Lake District, so loads of mountains to walk up, and make me feel relaxed again

I really hope you enjoy yourself, unwind a little and come back fully refreshed and ready to take on the world.

I really do need to unwind at the moment, I wish I could pack the tent into the back of my car and head up there right now, but I can probably wait another week, I need to get stuff together because I fully intend to carry my small tent in my rucksack and camp, all by myself, at the top of a mountain, doesn't that sound like a little slice of heaven

                          It sounds amazing.
You are camping, and they are calling for snow here tonight. And there is still six inches of snow on the ground. So it is probably a good thing that your camping trip isn't in Ontario.

I have woken up with snow on the tent, but never pitched one in the snow, I've camped in -14C, and camped between Christmas and the New Year, so I'm up for camping in Canada

I have camped on the fringes of a hurricane (unintentionally) and that isn't fun. You spend the night waiting for a tree to fall on you.

One of the Christmas's I was away we had VERY strong winds, it was amazing, we were camped in a valley (the site I'm going to next week) and you could hear the wind coming down the valley towards you, your tent then shook like crazy, then you listened to it going away from you, a couple of minutes later the next gust would come. Only about half the tents on site survived the night, the site owners had made everyone move their tents away from trees during the day so no casualties. There were stronger winds the following night, but by then all the cheap tents had gone
