        Most of the 'glow' in the atmosphere is not Aurora Borealis (or Australis in the south) but airglow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airglow

        Aurorae appear as discreet bands that look like curtains billowing in the wind. I have been fortunate to catch and photograph some instances of Aurora Australis in my life so far.

                                Yep, since I get up first, it's me now. The culprit in question is Dexter. Wife heard him crying from under the hood of a car in a parking lot last fall and rescued him. He was about 6 weeks old. He is my furry alarm clock. Since the doctor put me on meds for my wrist pain, I can actually sleep, and the furry ones are hungry. Dexter keeps me from over sleeping. Just as in the vid, he starts by laying on me, then sticking out a claw and poking me. When I finally get up, the others are on the floor watching, as though they put him up to it.
