Just a simple question, is anyone on here signed up on LinkedIn? And if so has it been useful?

I'm not signed up, but wondering if I should.

I've been on it for several years. It's actually been a useful tool since I've been able to connect with both former colleagues and customers in a more professional setting than say Facebook. I've also been able to get some very kind references from my customers there as well.

Owning my own company it's also been a good way of getting some visibility as well.

I'd say it's a pretty good way to network with people you'd rather not add on Facebook. You can also see who's viewed your page - most of the time it's people from work but every once in a while the occasional rep from some other dealership peeps in. Think of it as your resume, only somewhat prettier to look at, and with the ability for people to add Likes (read: "endorsements")
