Re: Some people really should listen to others
I ask because the only exposure I get to other countries is TV. I hear that word used a lot on shows from Britain and Australia. Maybe I should quit listening to Jim Jefferies, but he is funny as hell. The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

Re: Some people really should listen to others
Guess I should be more specific. Regular tv mostly sucks. I get video and movies from the internet and one of my IT guys at work. He has about 9 terabytes of movies alone. Finds neat stuff from around the world. He is going to hook me up with some South Korean sci fi . He says they make great sci fi. As far as stuff from your country I have seen...Norman Gunston, Paul Hogan, Kath and Kim, Wilfred and I am sure a few others. I am big on stand up comedy, already mentioned Jim. And don't forget Balls of Steel from both sides of the water.
In America, before cable, there were 3 major networks and a forth one that was, and istill is PBS. It would be considered smart people tv with no commercials. They would play British shows a lot. There are shows from Brittan that I had watched every episode of. As a matter of fact, that is where I discovered Monty Python Mr. Bean, Faulty Towers, Are You Being Served. The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.
