Hi everyone:
I am a self taught novice techie, not my trade though. I own my own business and bought a WCP232 at auction to give me 11x17 capability. The machine works great but I haven't been able to access the CWIS on my Xerox Workstation Pro 232 and believe I need to attempt to reset the NVM. I have performed a web queries and discovered routines involving holding down 0 (zero) and then pressing start but have not had success in this method. The timing and sequence for said procedure may be in question, or there is another way with this particular model.
I am here as I have exhausted all resource(s) at the Xerox Customer forums, I have the same user name over there and you can see my posts as to the level of intensity I have gone to resolve my problem in case your wanting to read more about the history.
I've even gone as far as obtaining PWS, through somewhat nefarious methods, but have found that the specific database file for the WCP232 is not included in the Collections 1. It appears I have AltBoot with this download too but am only discovering these tools for the first time. I'll need to spend a little more time with them, or find a 9 pin serial cable.
Thanks for your insight and encouragement in advance. I'm looking forward to some new pointers to overcome the problem at this forum.
