Doc Sep Pad on CX2633 is problematic after contamination from feeding color printer output(Wax from the toner). Cleaning with a solvent stonger than alcohol will help for a week or so. Here's a cheap easy Fix.
Using OkiOffice 84 Document Sep Pad 4026-7001, create a new 'pad' for CX2633
by the following:
1) Keep track of top and bottom of new pad - bottom is VERY smooth & has
white mylar attached. Peel off the Mylar.
2) Hook one of the round holes onto one of the hooks on the Sep Pad Assy
from the CX2633 and align squarely.
3) With sharp scissors, cut off the excess material from the other side and
end of the new pad using old pad as reference
- not terribly fussy - just make it neat
4) You will need to cut a new hole for the second hook. I marked the
position of the hook on the new pad with a pen, folded the rubber lengthwise
and made 2 small cuts - Parallel - one aligned with the LOWEST edge of the
round hole, then unfold and cut out the small rectangle.
You can hook the pad on, and hold in place while you close the lid to test
if you like.
I attached the new pad to the old pad with 4 drops of Krazy Glue gel.
- 2 drops just above the hooks, and 2 drops just past the corner to keep
it laying Flat
Do not stretch the rubber when Glueing - just lay it flat & press firmly for
5 Min.
