Problem with finisher SR3050

Hello there, please i just bought a finisher SR3050 for my copier Gestetner MP2550. But the copier keeps displaying SC798 "Problem with finisher" without getting ready, but keeps showing "Please wait" on the screen. Thinking the finisher was defective, i got it replaced with another new one but the message keeps coming up. I'm desperately in need of help from anyone out there who may have experienced this before. Thanks a lot.

Hi There,
I just installed a MPC3001 with an SR3050 and the saleman pulled the finisher out the box badly causing SC798. This was due to the upper limit sensor of the output tray being jammed upwards.
From the open side of the finisher at the bottom left you can see a large whte gear on a removable c clip. remove it a slide the gear out and let the tray drop.
Once rebooted the error went.
