I have Konica Minolta Bizhub C252, and it is connected with the simple wireless network, without any server. with work group environment, I tried to configure scan to SMB/FTP with host names. but no luck. any suggestion any idea....expert opinions will be appreciated.

    Here's a couple of things:

DNS server set in the copier's network settings?

Check the network firewall, make sure you have the machine set as a trusted device.

      Thanks

I configured with the host ip address, it is working fine, so i believe no issues with firewall and trusted device. As there is no DNS server, all laptops are connected with wireless router. and i cannot make the static ip address for the laptops.

      For example:

      Host IP Configuration:
      IP Address :192.168.1.23
      Subnet mask :255.255.255.0
      Default Gateway:192.168.1.1
      DNS Server :192.168.1.1

and here is machine TCP/IP configuration.

      IP Address :192.168.1.220
      Subnet mask :255.255.255.0
      Default Gateway:192.168.1.1
      DNS Server :192.168.1.1

      Any help will be appriciated

      Thanks

How are you entering the hostnames? It should be set up as \\Host\Share\SubShare etc. If you run ipconfig /all on a client, do you get a domain or any other information? Also, how are the host names configured?

I would use the router as the host dns server. That "should" work. I've done it in the past. But I've hit some KM's that just won't work with a host name no matter what I try. Sometimes flashing the copier fixes, sometimes not. Worst case... if they have a "server" or copier that is always on and always there, just set that one to static (get permission first) and use that one to "host" the files. Then just made the folders on the laptops.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
