Advise required with scanning images

Hi All,

Can anyone give me so e advise on how to improve a scanned image?

Using an MP2000 into Scanfile (V8). Some of the images aren't being recognised leading to a lot of manual indexing.

i'm wondering if its something to do with the settings on the scanner??
