I guess I should check in

    Hi,

I'm new to CTN. I've been on the forums for a few weeks but thought I would "check in". I work for a Kyocera dealership and mostly service Kyocera equipment, we also sell and service muratec.

I hope I can offer as much help as I receive from other members. I have only been a copier tech for 8 months, but I can offer some guidance on some models not a lot of techs are familiar with.

    Nice to meet everyone!

You couldn't be the big daddy I knew. He's been in the business at least 20 years.

Welcome! We're looking forward to your contributions. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That would be correct. I got that nickname because I had a supervisor that used to call all the employees big daddy. I got in the habit of calling co workers (and any guy I can't remember the name of) "big daddy". My op manager picked up on this and gave me the nickname. It stuck instantly.

In my last career, I was known as "big worm". Which in itself is an entirely different story. That one came about because a co worker chain smoked. I dubbed him "smokey", a truck driver made the connection to the movie Friday, and I was dubbed "big worm".

Nothing like being In a meeting with a client and someone screams out "big worm".

Nicknames like people must retire at some point. Until then, I remain "big daddy". Sorry for the confusion, lol.
