Most common rule violated is Rule 5. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
This includes firmware that the manufacturer makes available only to authorized technicians. Firmware is the intellectual property of the manufacturer.

Another reason for receiving Red cards is being disrespectful, especially to a senior member or contributor. You are very close to violating that in this thread.

You start out with one green card. You earn additional by lending positive help to others by providing advice on correcting problems based on your experience. You earn Red cards through the actions mentioned above. The more Green cards ones has, the greater his or her Rep Power. Since you only have 1 Red card you most likely were not tag by a senior tech with high Rep Power.
