Like I said in a previous post in this thread, he's paying to place his ads here. If you're paying money, you also can place your ads here and try to make some money. Don't make such a big deal out of this.

How much I have to donate to place ads for:
- clearing counters
- modifying counters
- modifying machines to work faster
- modifying machines to work without chips and chip resetters
- or resetters for $5
- OEM toner/developer compatibility list

and other taboos ;D

It was a joke... got my own "underground" business - blackcat knows and other small things like panel labels gives me additional money to my regular salary, and I don't need ads for this.
Sure I would like to have much more money - my total monthly income is something about $1000 (shame) and it's above average for my country :/ But there are things like above we just shouldn't do...

Dude,nothing to be ashamed at,work hard and find niches and things will happen for you.

Sorry for an attack, I'm just frustrated and tired by greedy people, especially my boss - who's giving me totally crappy/dead/broken machines which was thrown away to dumpster in other countries with a very motivating text: "you've got 2 days to fix it, it was sold and must look, work, behave and even smell like a new one".

Maybe I'm just jealous that other countries got those things little easier... like BH601, T/C: 132 copies, hangs on KM logo, thrown to dumpster after diagnosis "no chance to fix" (it's not CF, mainboard, memory modules, NV-RAM - had no more time for other tests /other crap came in the meantime - 2xC35, 3xC25, 3xC35p, 2xKM240f, C220/, and no second machine on site, for easy parts replacement).


M4U, I'm sorry for a personal attack, I still think that your "business" is wrong... but this is not my business what are you doing Sorry again...

I have been a paid supporter of this site since it went live. I have a banner ad at the top of the screen which alternates with the other ads. I also donate to the site every month. Furthermore, I give away free manuals to people on this site who help out a lot, and I'm always willing to help out a non-profit with free manuals.

I used to be a printer tech but after 9/11 I was downsized, highest paid = first out. I found something I could do to make money while working at home. My wife also works at home. She is a Unix programmer.

Touching story, but who gives a sh*t?

I wasn't aware that donating means that you can buy yourself in for a free ticket to spam across the forum topics, even if there's a specific sub-forum available that fits into your business (service manuals requests). There's even official space available for adbanner that can be booked.

Sorry that I can't find a soft spot in my heart for this just because he's donating. Maybe the site owner can suggest something to offer some official ad-space as some kind of the reward for the donations.

That's for the site owner to decide. Unless he's selling our personal data, I see nothing wrong with it. Hell, I could suggest paying a daily fee of $100 in exchange for the privilege of posting a picture of my sweaty balls as a reply to every thread on the forum - if accepted you guys could either live with it or leave the forum...

I also pay for ad space here as well. I and the other advertisers keep this site alive with our ads without which this site wouldn't be online.

Funny that the other advertisers seems to be somewhat able not to spam across the forum (ricoh area at least). I also didn't noticed any discussion about other advertisers? Seems placing ads and pissing off a non-minority of users doesn't neccessarily go hand in hand.

Banging on M4U?? I know his posts can be annoying at times and he's promoting his gig. But where you gunno go when you can pick up service on 1 of "those machines" that you don't have any info on, your contacts don't have it and the almighty internet doesn't have it. Paul will likely have it, he's been able to help me more than once in this situation.

This is merely an observation......have you noticed that the most criticism about Paul is from members who have been here only a few months .

As so many others have replied " If you don't want to see Paul's ads ....... DON"T LOOK "
If you only want a FREE manual : DON'T LOOK AT PAUL'S AD ... you could be tempted to purchase a manual .
It's simple ..... Don't want .... don't look !
