I am new to this site, and as such am not sure what some of the things on the site.

One in particular is the "Rep Power" that is part of the Avatar bar. What is it for and how are the figures calculated?

I belong to quite a few forums on various internet topics, and have never come across this:

I asked the question above because I a) did not know and b) could not find any info with a few search attempts that I did.

Then Mr Paul "buy my manuals - but never offers any advice post" goes and marks this exact rep power down because I supposidly let other people do my legwork??

Talk about rich!

Nowhere else have I ever been treated this badly by someone who does not ever offer any credible advice himself!
