Ricoh A+ 40 hour course.

Manager informed me that next week Ricoh is offering a 40 hour course for A+ cert that is being given over the phone? We are letting 2 techs take it while 2 others cover their calls. I have to decide tomorrow. I would like to know if someone else has taken the course can tell me about it. I want the training, but want to be prepared. Seems like a one shot deal, not a test you can take over.

when i worked for the big red R, we were given time off calls to study for the test and then take it. i was already certified for A+ so didnt matter to me. but one tech took off to study, failed, took more time off, failed and then they sent him to a school for a week of study...then he passed.

I was told the course is live, over the phone. I was thinking of letting the other tech take it and see how it is. I would like to pass the first time.If it is slow paced, I will get bored. If it is recorded, do you just take notes? I would assume it interfaces on the computer.
