    Impact Networking

Hello. This is a pretty major company out of Chicago. Offices throughout the Midwest and LA. Heard they are downsizing their copier division. Likely eliminating it in the future. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

its gradually happening down sizing copier side, IT related side, and has taken over security, and enterprise clients. The copier side has little profit compared to the IT side

Thanks for bringing this up. I’ve also been hearing some chatter about changes in that division, but nothing officially confirmed yet. It wouldn’t be surprising though, given how quickly the industry is shifting. If anyone has direct insight or confirmation, it’d be great to hear more.

Well, their website no longer mentions copiers. Just some managed print options.. And this is from their job openings for the "Print Team".

        Position Overview
The Print Team’s primary objective is to retain and support our existing print-only clients. With approximately 3,000 active accounts, we are transitioning dedicated sales support for these clients to the Print Team.

At this time, our focus is not on cross-selling additional services or prospecting for new business. Instead, we are committed to delivering exceptional service by ensuring that every print client has a dedicated representative who conducts regular business reviews, addresses questions and concerns, and works to identify opportunities for account growth and upgrades within Impact.

The fact that a large company is downsizing or possibly eliminating a division (such as the copier division) is important information, but it often doesn't become public knowledge unless there's an official announcement, press coverage, or someone inside the company shares it. hole io

You're correct. Which is why I was looking for unofficial scuttlebutt.
