You say you just got into the production sales environment, what kind of sales were you doing prior?
It sounds to me like you're talking about selling to niche markets. While there's nothing wrong with that, don't neglect the tried and true markets because that's where the real money is.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime. -

School districts are a good market for production copiers. They can reduce the cost of required student handouts sufficiently to hire an experienced print operator and still have moneys left over for other needs. One word of warning, you could end up selling a lot of non production units as well. We had a district in a small town with 7 campuses, the district office, the bus garage and their own print shop. Most campuses had 2 copiers, one in the school office and one in the teachers work room. The district office had a B/W and Color and the print shop eventually ended up with 2 production units and a high speed duplicator.Comment
